Last Mile Care (LMC) is a growing startup dedicated to revolutionizing primary healthcare by providing accessible and affordable services to all. Since its inception in February 2019, LMC has been committed to delivering comprehensive and inclusive primary healthcare solutions to every community, aiming to enhance the quality of life for individuals.
The rural and semi-urban areas of India often face significant challenges in their healthcare systems, such as a scarcity of personnel and infrastructure. As a result, people in these regions struggle with limited access, availability, and affordability of healthcare services, ultimately leading to unfavorable health outcomes.
To address these issues, LMC is currently establishing its flagship assisted telemedicine phygital centres called the ‘1Care Unit Centres’. These unit centres serve as easily accessible points of contact, offering professional teleconsultation and referral services, affordable medications, and diagnostic facilities. Additionally, the centres provide health financing and products to expand health coverage and alleviate out-of-pocket expenses. By integrating digital platforms with physical units, 1Care Units ensure that the benefits of technological advancements in healthcare and telecommunication extend to the farthest reaches, bridging the last mile gap. Through digital health records, helplines, and secure data management, patients can access preventive and curative healthcare solutions efficiently.
Presently, LMC has successfully established sixteen 1Care Units across seven states/Union Territories. We are currently present in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Dadra & Nagar Haveli, Odisha and Haryana. LMC has ambitious plans to expand its network of 1Care Clinics in the near future, further extending its reach and impact.
